Stagnant ischemic disease of soft tissues (SIDST) is regarded by the writer as the basic term of common pathology of soft tissues of an organism. In the basis of SIDST there is a complex of processes of disorder of tissular blood and lymphocirculation and microcurrents of interstitial fluid, change of rheological properties of blood, decrease of fusion of nitrogen oxide in endothelium, microvessels endothelial dysfunction. As a consequence tissular-trophic insufficiency develops, which leads to dystrophic processes in tissues. These processes determine formation of various diseases in a human body. The major pathogenetic stages of SIDST are ischemia and VILS syndrome or their combination, which cause capillartrophic insufficiency, which leads to progression of dystrophy of tissues. In concept of extension SIDST may develop locally, regionally and generally.
In the context of mentioned concept, SIDST, as a category of common pathology of soft tissues, includes individual components of various pathological processes of an organism, which are known as some definite diseases and their symptoms and syndromes. The following syndromes are rated to them: myofascial pain syndrome of various localization, back bone osteochondrosis and osteochondrosis-related neurological evidences, compression ischemic (tunnel) syndromes, neuropathies, angiopathies, myofibrillosis, muscle contractures, muscular trigger dots, herniated disks, vertebrobasilar insufficiency, posttraumatic status and various forms of visceral pathology. As clinical observations show, most of them by their pathogenic nature are an original result of disorders which occur during the process of progression and course of SIDST. A significant proof of that is some detected objective and subjective evidences of SIDST (pain, function disorder, depression, disorders of tissular hemo- and lymphocirculation – extravasates, local edemas, dystrophic changes – muscle contractures, myofibrillosis – and other symptoms, which are detected in both patients and clinically healthy people (including children and sportsmen). On the other hand vacuum-gradient therapy application during various nosological forms of pathology of tissues and systems of an organism leads to recovery and prevention of many diseases and functional disorders in both patients and healthy people.
Before passing on to description of technology of VGT application, it is necessary to note that extravasates, which appear under the influence of vacuum, may be a little bit painful; and aseptic inflammation, which is caused by microinjuries of capillary walls, may cause common ailment, especially after first procedures of the course. These evidences usually disappear completely according to normalization of status of microcirculation in tissues.
